Peer Review Process

The Journal of Language Teaching, Linguistics and Literature  (JLTLL) implements a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles.

1. Paper Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the JLTLL submission system. All submissions must follow the journal’s scope, focus, and author guidelines.

2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor conducts a preliminary review to assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
  • Significance and contribution to the field
  • Originality and novelty
  • Clarity of writing, language use, and grammar
  • Plagiarism check

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.

3. Review Cost Payment and Review Acceptance
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening proceed after the required review cost payment and confirmation for peer review.

4. Peer Review Process

The manuscript is sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. JEELS applies a double-blind peer review process, in which both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed to ensure objectivity and fairness. The review process typically depends on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.

5. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Accept with Revision (minor or major)
  • Reject

6. Author Revision (if required)
If revisions are requested, authors must revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ and editor’s comments and resubmit within the specified timeframe.

7. Editorial Review of Revised Manuscript
The Editor reviews the revised submission to ensure that all comments and recommendations have been adequately addressed. If necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the reviewers.

8. Final Acceptance and Publishing Cost
Once the manuscript is accepted, authors are required to complete the publishing cost payment.

9. Production and Publication
The accepted manuscript enters the production stage, including copyediting, layout, and proofreading, before being officially published in JLTLL.
